In the last couple of years I shot quite a few small intimate weddings in London. I can honestly say that they bring me as much joy as the big celebrations. There's something very special about saying 'I do' in front of a few closest friends and family members. Or just even just the two of you. Pure magic and commitment.

Having an intimate wedding or eloping doesn't mean you should give up on pictures - make sure you book a photographer to take pictures, it still is your big day! It's also a perfect moment to get pictures of two of you without the stress and rush of a busy timeline of the wedding day.

CLAIRE AND PAUL’S INTIMATE HACKNEY WEDDING

Claire and Paul decided to have an intimate wedding ceremony at Hackney Town Hall in London where they got married in front of their family members including their two lovely little kids.

After confetti (photobombed by a pigeon in a classic Hackney style) and a glass of bubbles on the steps of the Town Hall the family headed to the restaurant and three of us went for a little wander around their old address in Clapton.

We took a bus headed to Hackney Downs Park to take a photo on the steps of their former house and ended up having a drink at The Star by Hackney Downs pub. It was a beautiful day and we had such a great time laughing and dancing in the park.
